The Architect’s Mind: An Introduction to “Dihexa Directed Engineering”
For most of history neuroscientists viewed the brain as a fixed organ - a piece of fixed hardware that slowly degrades under the wear and tear of time & modern stressors. It wasn't until the late 1990s that the scientific community finally began accepting that "neurogenesis" (growing brand-new neurons) happens in the adult brains.
Since then we’ve slowly come online to the fact we can change the actual physiology of our minds. I discovered it when determined to understand what my debilitating adolescent anxiety was and what I could do about it.
I was motivated to change, discovered it was possible, and then got to work with meditation.
It was painfully slow, and sometimes futile, but it worked. I’m convinced that years of daily meditation shrunk the fear center of my brain and reduced my generalized state of anxiety.
The result for me is a far more enjoyable human experience and a level of societal success I most certainly would not have achieved without it.
I’ve yapped about meditation for years now because I see so clearly the impact it stands to have on the lives of others. However, it’s very hard, the impact is slow, and 99% of people simply aren’t going to stick with it.
Enter peptides.

1. But first, why do this at all?

A stronger, more sovereign mind shows up everywhere; it shows up in your ability to stay calm under pressure, your capacity to learn new skills, and the quiet confidence you bring to your relationships.
By building a better brain, you are quite literally building a better life.
2. The Building Blocks: What is Dihexa?
Think of Dihexa as the ultimate construction crew. Technically, it is a small peptide derived from Angiotensin IV. In neurological circles, it’s reputed to be orders of magnitude more powerful than BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor)-the "Miracle-Gro" of the brain.
How it works: Dihexa binds to the HGF (Hepatocyte Growth Factor) pathway. This triggers synaptogenesis-the creation of brand-new connections between neurons-and dendritic arborization, which is the "branching out" of your neural trees.
It doesn’t just protect your brain; it expands the physical infrastructure of your thought.
It comes in pill form and I took xmg 1 per day for 2 weeks.
Even though the molecule itself may clear your bloodstream within hours or a couple of days, its active effect on the c-Met receptor is remarkably persistent. Research suggests that the signaling cascade initiated by Dihexa can stay active for 7 to 10 days after your last dose.
By the 3rd week I felt I had enough and reduced down to every other day to finish the cycle.
Is it safe?
Dihexa is an experimental surgical tool, not a daily supplement. Because it promotes growth via the c-Met receptor, the primary guardrail is avoiding it if there is any history of malignancy. It’s meant for short, intense "renovation" cycles, typically 4–6 weeks.

3. Clearing the Site: The Diet and Fasting Protocol
You can’t build a skyscraper on a swamp. To allow Dihexa to work safely, I wanted to clear away garbage and metabolic "noise" that usually keeps a brain in a state of low-level alarm.
I started by fasting for 3 days to induce a state of deep ketosis driven autophagy and kill off any old damaged cells.
The 30-Day Zero: Eliminating alcohol and refined carbs stops neuro-inflammation in its tracks. Alcohol is a solvent that thins the brain’s gray matter; refined sugar creates blood-sugar "spikes" that act like static on a radio.
With a fast and a clean diet you shift the brain from "defense mode" to "repair mode." This creates the quiet environment necessary for new neural connections to actually "set."
4. The "Impossible" Sensation: Interoception
On paper, neuroplasticity is a clinical term. In practice, it’s a physical, visceral experience.
During this reset, I began to experience something I can only describe as "feeling the wires connect." This isn’t new to experienced meditators. I feel sensations in my brain often, but this was more pronounced.
Through a process called interoception-the ability to sense the internal state of your body-I became acutely aware of the remodeling.
The Sparking: It started as a subtle "sparking" or "electrical" sensation in my temples and prefrontal cortex.
The Heavy: There were days of profound "dullness" and fatigue. My brain felt heavy, as if it were a muscle worked to failure in the gym. This is the metabolic cost of Directed Engineering; the "dullness" is simply the sign that your processor is 100% occupied with internal repairs.
5. The Orchestra Conductor: Meditation
If Dihexa provides the bricks, Meditation is the architect.
Specifically, long-form sessions (30–40 minutes) strengthen the Prefrontal Cortex. Think of PFC as the "Orchestra Conductor" of your brain.
The PFC manages focus, willpower, and emotional regulation. Under the influence of Dihexa, the PFC is in a state of hyper-plasticity. When you meditate, you are forcing electrical activity through that specific region, "ordering" the construction crew to build the most robust connections there.
This is how you hard-wire Mental Sovereignty.
What’s that mean?
Your conscious intent is the undisputed ruler of your biological impulses.
There is a tiny window of time between a stimulus (like stress or a craving) and your response. In a brain damaged by alcohol or high sugar, that gap is non-existent; you react impulsively before you’ve even "thought" about it.
“Sovereignty” is gained by the physical thickening of the Prefrontal Cortex (the CEO) so that the gap becomes wide enough for you to choose your response.
You feel the craving, you acknowledge it, and you dismiss it. You are no longer a slave to your own neurochemistry.
6. The Breakthrough: High-Definition Clarity
The most profound moments happened around the 30+ minute mark of my daily meditations. I would sit through the "gray" feeling of a brain under repair, and then a breakthrough would come.
Suddenly, the static would clear. The "heavy" feeling would transform into a state of high-definition clarity.
It felt like the lights were being flipped on in rooms that had been dark for years.
This wasn't a chemical high; it was the sensation of integration. The construction was done, and the circuit was finally live.
It’s hard to describe, but it feels like a new lane opened up in highway of my mind.
7. Other Tools for Directed Engineering
Meditation isn't the only way to guide your new growth. You can "direct" your engineering through:
Reading: While meditation cleans the "operating system," reading is how you install high-level software into your new synapses.
Synaptic Enrichment: Reading is one of the few activities that requires the simultaneous coordination of multiple brain regions (visual, linguistic, associative, and executive). In a "Dihexa-plastic" state, reading acts as a form of environmental enrichment.
Deep reading long-form books rather than short social media clips re-trains the brain in linear focus and complex sequencing. You are literally "engineering" a longer attention span.
Breathwork: can manually override for your Autonomic Nervous System. It is the most direct way to "engineer" your brain’s stress response.
The Vagus Nerve "Hack": Long, slow exhalations stimulate the Vagus nerve, which signals the brain to move from "Sympathetic" (fight or flight) to "Parasympathetic" (rest and digest/repair).
The Engineering Angle: If you do breathwork while your brain is hyper-plastic, you are hard-wiring a lower "stress floor." You are teaching your new synapses that "calm" is the default state.
High-Quality Sleep: This is essential and it’s when the cement dries. Synaptogenesis is finalized while you are unconscious.
Deep Work: Intense, focused learning tells the brain exactly where the new synapses are needed.
8. The Result: A more "Sovereign" Brain
First, to be clear, I have no proof of any benefits other than my own subjective experience.
What makes any sort of wellness practice for the brain difficult to assess is that you typically can’t see it.
Short of an fMRI scan it’s really just up to you to be objective.
I’m conscious of that, but nonetheless, I feel great.
I feel like my word recall, processing speed, and the color of my mind is sharper.
During the early process it took a bit to realize the "dullness" is just the construction phase. The increased sovereignty is what waits on the other side.
Am I perfect now?
Of course not. Will I drink alcohol and eat a cupcake again? Fuck yea.
The point is that this is possible and we can benefit from it when we want to.
This is what interests me and why I’m bringing awareness to it - the ability for us all to be our best selves starts and ends in our minds.
I’m willing to push those limits to see how far we can get.
